• Ayurveda is a traditional Indian holistic medical approach that emphasizes mind, body, and spirit balance to achieve and preserve optimal well-being. Its foundation is the idea that a delicate balance between the environment, the mind, and the body is necessary for both health and well-being. According to Ayurveda, every person is unique and has particular physical, mental, and emotional qualities. The three basic elements of life, or doshas, are identified as Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (earth and water). These doshas regulate many physiological processes and functions, and a balanced state of these doshas promotes health.
